Supplier quality engineer is responsible for working with suppliers to meet standards for quality, delivery, lead-time and productivity for honeywell.
*key responsibilities*:
- collaborates with the bts (buy to sell) sourcing, engineering and quality to improve supplier performance;
- management of nonconorming products: work with our suppliers to implement standard rma, rca, 8d reports, quality kpis for their suppliers but also for honeywell as customer;
- implement at our supplier facility a robust control plan;
- lead and support efforts to fully realize zero return from honeywell as customer;
- assist / leads supplier in the issue resolution and root-cause analysis processes associated with supplier quality;
- ppap management: work with supplier to perform and complete ppap for any change in hon products;
- work with supplier to respect ppap starndards for their suppliers;
- work with various departments from honeywell (customer quality, customer excellence, rnd, engineering, sourcing, etc);
- creates & implements at supplier facility a strong and robust quality system in place using six sigma principles;
- support supplier development team in the development of product factory acceptance test requirements and site
- acceptance test requirements related to our porduct;
- measures key metrics to evaluate initial and ongoing supplier performance, and processes to maintain, publish, and analyze metrics and key supplier quality performance data;
- communicate performance metric expectations to our supplier;
- leads supplier development projects / supplier procedures implmentation;
- work together with hon team and our suppliers to implement elements of honeywell operating system (hos)
- procedures in our supplier facility, especially for dedicated honeywell production line;
- work with our supplier to create & implement a strong supply base;
- help our suppliers to develop a strong supplier monitoring process/kpis as lt, moq, ottr, # of disruptions, buffer agreement, etcd
*must have*:
- be an expert on supplier quality tools - lead the roll out, training and implementation of supplier quality tools for suppliers (including alignment with hos requirements);
- bachelor's degree (quality, manufacturing, engineering);
- minimum of 3 years experience as supplier qualiy or supplier development engineer
- experience with iso standards and supplier quality improvment projects;
- background in lean / six sigma tools, statistical process control, capability analysis, etc (green belt, black belt or lean expert is nice to have);
- experience with ppap process;
- good communication skills
