Lvmh fashion group finance transformation & fendi japan finance director
the finance director will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the retail subsidiary of fendi in japan. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the luxury retail industry. The finance director will work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance, assist his/her peers in their mission, ensure compliance, support the overall business strategy and assess the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments.
he/she will oversee all financial aspects of business and operations, will lead the accounting team and coordinate all other financial operations in close coordination with the lvmh fashion group financial team.
ensure the integrity of finance process and plan the financial strategy according to zone and corporate guidelines.
protect the company’s revenues, profits and cash. Achieve full financial control and sustainable growth also by providing financial advice and supporting the zone president.
as a key member of the lvnh fashion group, he/she will engage into the finance transformation of our operations (7 maisons, 160+ stores; 1.0+ b€ revenues) and review of all finance processes in collaboration with the existing finance team. He/she will be a key interlocutor for the maisons headquarter and local commercial, operation and fp&a teams
job responsibilities
their duties include analysing departmental finances, creating a company budget and ensuring the financial health and stability of the company.

as fendi head of finance :
* financial strategy and planning: develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's business objectives. Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to guide decision-making.
* financial reporting: oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
* budget management: lead the budgeting process, monitor financial performance, and provide insights to optimize resource allocation and cost management.
* risk management: identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* audit : oversee all audit and internal control operations
* team leadership: manage and mentor the finance team (accounting & fp&a), fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Promote professional development and ensure high performance.
* stakeholder engagement: collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
* cash flow management: monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the financial stability and liquidity of the subsidiary. Optimize working capital and manage relationships with financial institutions.
* tax compliance: ensure compliance with all local tax regulations and optimize tax planning strategies. Liaise with tax advisors and authorities as needed.
* financial systems: oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools. Ensure data accuracy and integrity for effective financial management.

* elaborate a multi-year finance transformation roadmap,
* launch initiatives, aiming at improving the performance and accuracy of our financial operations,
* collaborate with paris hq and other shred service centers in asia on next erp implementation,
* assist the current team in place in their ability to deliver proximity support to the other maisons,
* liaise with fp&a of other maisons to create and animate the finance community,
* ad hoc projects as directed by fashion group cfo and coo
profile
qualifications:
* education: bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., cpa, cfa) is preferred.
* experience: minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role ideally within the retail or luxury industry.
* skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical mind with a strategic ability. Energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success. Excellent organizational and leadership skills
* language: fluency in english, professional working proficiency in japanese is required.
* knowledge: in-depth understanding of japanese financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards. Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (ifrs) is a plus.
* leadership: proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams. Ability to influence and drive change in a dynamic environment.
