we are seeking an experienced tool maker to join our team at our facility in russell springs, kentucky. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in plastics injection molding and be highly skilled in the repair, modification, and building of molds and dies. This position is hands‐on and requires strong machining and organizational skills in a tool room environment.
key responsabilities
* perform die and mold repairs, including disassembly and reassembly
* operate lathes, grinders, and other traditional tool room machines and equipment
* set up and operate cnc machines
* perform various machining operations to support tool repairs and modifications
* conduct in‐machine and out‐of‐machine tool repairs
* weld using mig, tig, or laser methods (preferred)
* maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
qualifications
* minimum 3 years of experience as a tool maker in a plastics injection molding setting
* journeyman mold maker certification or equivalent experience
* mold repairs and mold modification experience (hot runner systems is preferred)
* strong knowledge of machine tool operations including lathe work, mill work, overhead crane, etc.
* ability to redline detail drawings and manufacture to tolerances +/-0.001.
* welding experience is a plus

* program and run cnc, edm and other machines.

* good verbal and written communication skills
* team player and performing all duties un-supervised in a professional timely manner.
* ability to solve problems in a fast‐paced work environment with minimal supervision is required

* must be able to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, stand, walk, and perform repetitive wrist motion
