Overviewdirector of operations - guadalajara, mexicomxn 1,115,000 - 1,673,000job description:this position is responsible for leading bu cell manager, production manager, and new product manager (npi) to satisfy customer’s requirements: new product launch, order management, quality achievement, shipment and revenue performance. To achieve p/l goal by properly resource arrangement, production and inventory management.responsibilitiesdevelops and maintains manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image.provide input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.provide guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.review production and operating reports and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.develop operational procedures and standards to achieve business goals.develop budget plans to control expense and meet cost objectives.develop strategic plans to improve operational efficiency.schedule monthly meetings to discuss concerns, budgets and business improvements.assist in development and delivery of all client projects.manage staffing requirement and assignment for client projects.provide support and guidance to operations team as and when needed.monitor performance metrics and evaluate operational effectiveness.ensure that operations team follows safety and security procedures.responsible for implementing programs to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and the requirements of the rba.perform other duties as assigned.required knowledge, skills and abilitiesexcellent communication (written and verbal) skillssmt experience and knowledge requiredrisk assessment and mitigation skills recommended.proficiency with microsoft office applications required, enterprise resource planning (erp) experience preferredexcellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skillsproven ability to function independently and multi-taskmust have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environmenteducation and experiencebachelor’s degree in engineering with 5 years of manufacturing experience required.master’s degree in engineering, science, or business administration with 5 years experience will be considered.experience with cost accounting is a plus.
