job description:
we are seeking an information technology manager for our global this role you will provide leadership and manage business relationships with the reman it organization at caterpillar facilities located in nuevo laredo mexico. Your role will involve driving emerging technology trends and collaborating closely with business leaders process partners vendors and it support staff. You will tackle complex business problems with innovative solutions enabling new capabilities to support our business objectives. Additionally youll offer thought leadership by strategically influencing business partners. This position is crucial in ensuring our it initiatives and strategies are seamlessly integrated and effectively support our global operations in the power & energy segment.
this role acts as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor developing it solutions that leverage existing & new platforms to achieve remans business goals.
primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* oversee the deployment maintenance and integration of it systems within the manufacturing facility including manufacturing execution systems (mes) enterprise resource planning (erp) and other related software.
* provide ongoing technical support to manufacturing staff.
* oversee the collection storage and analysis of manufacturing data to improve process efficiency quality control and decision making.
* build and maintain relationships with technology vendors service providers and internal stakeholders.
* provide leadership and career development for the power & energy it support team.
* serve as an escalation point for priority 1 & 2 incident tickets within the itsm process using servicenow.
* manage strategic alignment of it and business projects.
* manage relationships with internal and external suppliers such as the enterprise network database servers security and desktop support.
* resolve issues and eliminate roadblocks to realize the projects solution architecture ensuring no delays in project implementation.
* trusted liaison between business & enterprise it throughout the life of the new product introduction implementation deployment transition to support and ongoing continuous improvements.
basic qualifications:
* requires a relevant degree and/or 9-12 years of progressively complex experience.
* requires previous technical and managerial experience in applications or infrastructure with a broad background in system hardware system software support and development methodologies business planning project management and customer application needs.
* a broad knowledge of one or more applications and infrastructure components is necessary.

* strengths in personal planning initiating actions delegation building consensus decision making leadership and interpersonal skills areas.
* industrial manufacturing experience digital manufacturing transformation background and leadership through influence in a highly matrixed and federated environment.

* experience in applying lean skills.
* experience in multiple technologies including distributed / mainframe / integration / erp
* knowledge and experience in project management (scope cost and time estimation resource planning etc.)
* working with diverse global internal and external staff.
