Accountant manager role
this is an exciting opportunity to take on a challenging role as an accountant manager where you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, directing work, and collaborating with others to achieve business objectives.
the ideal candidate will have a broad training in a related field, typically acquired through college or work-related experience. They will also possess job-related experience of 5-7 years minimum, along with certifications such as cpa.
key responsibilities:
* provide operational direction to accounting teams, organizing and monitoring work processes, and providing direction in workload balance.
* develop and deliver performance metrics and perform data analysis to assess various performance attributes of cycles.
* lead continuous improvement initiatives to standardize or automate process steps, harmonize data, identify and support the implementation of tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
* collaborate with business stakeholders to prepare service level agreements and key performance indicators which define cost, quality, and control.
you will be responsible for the leadership and development of direct reports, providing exceptional internal/external customer service to ensure a high level of satisfaction. You will establish and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including sops, workflows, and process maps, to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
the role requires strong business acumen, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. You must be able to work cross-functionally with other department personnel, including executive management. Strong skills in microsoft suite, especially in excel, are essential. Expert knowledge in enterprise resource planning (erp), especially in sap and/or jde, is also required.
