Job description responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new business to ensure that revenues meet or exceed budget in order to maximize revenue and profits, and to improve the hotel's performance in the marketplace.duties & functions:direct and manage all transient sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotelprepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly smart goals, annual goals, sales, forecasts and other reports as directed/requireddevelop rates, and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix managementparticipate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetingsconduct and attend business review meetings, strategic sales meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required/ requestedrepresent the hotel in community and industry organizations and eventsparticipate as team player with other key executive membersbe a leader and role model to all team membersadminister and ensure timely completion of all activities of the sales departmentdevelop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and sop's, and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales teamdevelop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategiesmeet or exceed established goalscoordinate transient bookings to maximize profitsinitiate and follow up on leadsmonitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within said marketcoordinate all non-group transient sales solicitations to maximize market mixassist in the preparation of required reports in a timely mannerparticipate weekly sales meetings and daily line upsdevising or modifying procedures to solve process problems that will result in more efficientany other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.we recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
