position summary: the assistant designer should have a passion for design and pop culture.
they will develop on-trend generic and licensed designs for apparel and work directly with creative leads and the art director.
this position requires a creative background and skillset to contribute with original design creation along with design revisions within the apparel design field.
the ideal team member is organized, self-motivated and has great follow through aligned with creative problem-solving skills.
the assistant designer must possess a willingness to grow and learn creatively.
experiência y requisitos
responsibilities include but not limited to: - utilizing photoshop & illustrator to execute graphic ideas - work with creative leads to understand brand & sales needs - creating thumbnails and ideations for design concepts - effectively speak to design and software discussions - provide insight on future growth opportunities through researching licenses and current events.
- manage workloads from multiple sources, informing art director of any conflicts.
- learn, understand and follow department procedures & workflow.
- ensure accurate use of comp descriptions and naming procedures.
- develop an understanding our production process.
- utilize department network and appropriate procedures to ensure designs and assets are maintained and protected.
- maintain ownership over projects.
- other duties assigned as needed.
qualifications - graphic design degree/diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years in-house/agency design experience or recent graphic design graduate.
- strong knowledge of current adobe creative suite and web software with an artistic/design background.
- understanding of trello a plus - understanding of mod and pod business a plus - ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines and work well within a team environment.
- ability to effectively communicate with creative leads - strong desire to learn and problem solve additional important qualifications: - team-player - takes direction well - eye for layout, and color
