as our next automation engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of data analysis and manufacturing systems implementation, supporting the deployment of mes systems and driving operational efficiency. what you’ll be doing
* collect, analyze, and report on operational data including production, quality, maintenance, inventory, and logistics
* develop dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to communicate insights to stakeholders
* support mes (manufacturing execution system) implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
* identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction through data-driven insights
* collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to improve processes
* ensure adherence to quality, environmental, and safety management systems (sgc, sga, ehs)
* maintain workplace organization and proper use of tools and equipment
what we’re looking for
* bachelor’s degree in data science, industrial engineering, mechatronics, electronics, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 1+ year of experience in data analysis, automation, or industrial processes
* strong knowledge of data analysis tools such as python, r, sql, and excel
* familiarity with erp systems (oracle) or mes platforms
* strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
bonus points if you have
* advanced degree in data science, engineering, or related field
* experience with mes implementation or industry 4.0 technologies
* experience building dashboards, macros, or automation tools
* bilingual proficiency (english & spanish)
