- translates automotive content for autozone’s stores system z-net and websites including: fitment notes, product attributes, banners, promotional information, trustworthy advice, etc. by using trados tool
*job responsibilities
- other duties may be assigned*:
- *70% *translates all automotive content for z-net and the websites including: fitment notes, product attributes, banners, promotional information, trustworthy advice, etc.
- *10% *researches new sources of translation aids, for example: vendor and manufcturer's websites, glossaries, dictionaries, etc. Conducts informal surveys with az stores personnel about terminology.
- *10% *translates documents as requested, examples: data entry instructions, commercial materials, e-commerce webpage, deals and promotions, manuals, etc.
- *10% *maintains and improves the translation memories, and the az multilingual dictionary
*skills and requirements*:
- level of formal education: must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program
- area of study: foreign languages, translation
- years of experience: 6 months preferable
- type of experience: translator, editor, technical writer, language teacher
- special certifications or technical skills: toefl (english-spanish), excellent knowledge of automotive terminology, computer skills, cat tools (trados), celpe-bras (english-portuguese) is a plus.
- other/preferred: excellent communication skills. Able to perform simultaneous translation.
