about the role
we are looking for a video editor with strong narrative and storytelling expertise to join our creative team. This role is editing-focused (75%) with motion skills as support (25%), ideal for someone who thrives in shaping stories that resonate with audiences across multiple platforms. Mainly breathes and feels the digital world.
the right candidate is not only technically proficient but also deeply understands audiovisual and cinematographic language, storytelling structures, and client-driven content goals. You will have the freedom to design your own efficient workflows while privileging storytelling over pure aesthetics.
responsibilities
* edit short-form and long-form videos with a strong focus on narrative flow and storytelling techniques.
* apply cinematic and audiovisual language to enhance clarity, emotion, and impact.
* understand client needs and goals to adapt content strategies accordingly.
* optimize workflow and select the most efficient editing tools (premiere pro, davinci resolve, capcut, etc.) depending on project requirements.
* ensure timely delivery without sacrificing quality.
* integrate motion design elements where necessary, applying principles of graphic design.
* leverage ai tools to generate or enhance images and videos when beneficial.
* collaborate closely with creative directors, editors, and clients to maintain brand consistency and content relevance.
* troubleshoot problems creatively and propose solutions that improve overall output.
requirements
* background in communications, cinematography, or related studies.
* 3+ years of experience as a video editor with a proven portfolio.
* mastery of audiovisual language, editing grammar, and storytelling structures.
* strong knowledge of adobe premiere pro, davinci resolve, capcut (or similar tools).
* advanced english level (b2, c1, or c2) in writing, listening, and speaking.
* ability to prioritize storytelling impact over aesthetics while maintaining professional quality.
* strong organizational and workflow management skills.
* knowledge of motion design principles and fundamentals of graphic design.
* resourceful, creative, and adaptable problem solver.
* enthusiasm for ai tools and workflows, with the ability to experiment and learn quickly.
nice-to-have
* experience in sound design or audio editing.
* familiarity with collaboration tools (slack, clickup,, notion, etc.).
* awareness of social media content strategies and platform-specific trends.
