the purchasing specialist plays a critical role in aligning procurement with business objectives. Key responsibilities include creating and validating purchase orders, establishing communication with suppliers, and expediting urgent materials as needed.
* creation/validation of purchase orders with supporting documentation
* establish communication with suppliers, following up on delivery status including coordination and tracking of shipments
* expedite urgent materials in case of any discrepancy, variation of demand, vendor delays, etc.
* reconcile supplier invoice discrepancies and execution
* gap analysis comprehension, detection and execution
* lead the purchasing portion of new projects, owning the component until it is fully deployed into production
key qualifications:
1. bachelor's degree in a related field
2. 5-8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
3. proficient in sap, excel (advanced), microsoft office
4. bilingual english-spanish proficiency
5. data-driven approach with high analytical skills
6. excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. goal-oriented mindset with ability to work independently
8. positive attitude with high sense of urgency
9. strong organizational skills
