key responsibilities:
* develop and execute global supply chain strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regional market dynamics.
* lead and mentor a geographically dispersed team across procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory control.
* manage global supplier relationships, negotiate international contracts, and ensure compliance with trade regulations and sustainability standards.
* oversee international logistics and distribution networks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
* collaborate with regional and global stakeholders (e.g., sales, finance, operations, legal) to align supply chain activities with business goals.
* implement and monitor global demand forecasting and inventory planning processes to optimize stock levels and reduce obsolescence.
* drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean, six sigma, or other methodologies to enhance global supply chain performance.
* monitor and report on global supply chain kpis, risks, and opportunities, using data analytics and digital tools.
* ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
* lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance visibility, agility, and automation across the global supply chain.
education and work history:
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in supply chain management, international business, engineering, or related field (master's preferred).
* 8+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
* proven experience managing international suppliers, logistics providers, and cross-border operations.
* strong knowledge of global trade compliance, customs regulations, and international logistics.
* proficiency in erp systems (e.g., sap, oracle) and supply chain analytics tools.
* excellent leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills.
* ability to travel internationally as needed
