responsibilities
* under direction of supervisors and team members and gradually more independently
* translate business questions into analytical problems and create solutions using visualization techniques, machine learning and deep learning, and statistical modeling
* seek and develop techniques for data management, new algorithms, methods, statistical models and business models, providing insights from structured and unstructured data
* learn and quickly trial the use of tools, data sources and analytical techniques needed to answer a wide range of critical business questions and improve the status quo
* identify research articles and reproduce/apply innovative methodology to novartis business problems
* provide understandable and actionable business intelligence for key stakeholders
* contribute understanding of one or more data science areas and demonstrate practical knowledge of techniques
* help develop new quantitative methods to improve processes across projects and develop new analytical opportunities by integrating existing and new data sources
* support multiple projects with limited scope
* notify technical complaints/events/adverse events/special case scenarios related to novartis products within 24 hours of receipt
* distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

work experience
* minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis and validation
