Voxelmaps is seeking a dynamic project accountant assistant to join our team in
*responsibilities*:
- must speak fluent english
- collaborate with the lead project accountant on daily operations, reconciliations, and reporting.
- reconcile and compile data from various platforms for reporting purposes.
- execute project accounting processes, encompassing the capture and validation of data related to time, costs, billing, and forecasting.
- establish and foster positive relationships with project delivery teams and the broader finance function.
- assist in developing financial plans for diverse projects and monitor performance against these plans.
- provide timely and accurate project financial data to facilitate effective decision-making.
- record and categorize all relevant income and expenditure for each project and/or entity.
- contribute to defining end-to-end finance processes to enhance the control environment and achieve operational efficiencies.
- identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements by understanding business challenges and needs.
- collaborate with finance and non-finance teams across international offices.
- work with the management team to develop business intelligence for driving efficiencies in projects.
- support other finance activities and projects as needed to meet business requirements.
- compile and present well-organized receipts and invoices for expenses to external sponsors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies for validation and sponsorship approval.

- advantageous to have previous experience in a similar role.
- preferably hold an accounting qualification (aat, cima, acca) or equivalent experience.
- possess a strong background in financial reporting.
- demonstrates attention to detail and strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret significant amounts of financial data.
- strong organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and time zones for seamless coordination in expense management.
- ability to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team or independently.
- proficient in microsoft excel, including creating functions, pivot tables, vlookups, and charts.
