cybersecurity senior managing consultant, strategy & transformation – advisors
services within mastercard advisors are responsible for acquiring, engaging and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity and improving the digital payments experience. The advisors & consulting services team provides value-added services and leverages expertise, data-driven insights and execution to deliver powerful strategic recommendations. Mastercard advisors works with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
in this role you will lead delivery of multiple client engagements across direct and network distribution channels, industries and project types, such as cybersecurity risk management, cyber crisis management, breach and attack simulations and cyber threat intelligence. You will independently structure engagements to address client problems and support sales teams. You will lead and be a key resource to others to identify creative and useful analyses to address client cyber problems, synthesize analyses into clear, sound recommendations and share findings through impactful storylines and deliverables. You will mentor and coach junior teammates and contribute to mastercard’s knowledge management and best practices. You are expected to have a tremendous impact in transforming our clients and to play a leading role in shaping the future of mastercard’s cybersecurity services.
roles and responsibilities
* oversight and delivery of client projects and solutions for assessing risk exposure, protecting against attacks, and orchestrating continual improvements of cybersecurity.
* assist with sales and product management activities such as technical pre-sales support and creation of product bundles.
* lead the definition and development of deliverables to solve client problems, address difficult client situations and produce actionable recommendations.
* create a positive team environment and support collaboration across multiple teams to produce outstanding deliverables.
* identify opportunities to leverage cybersecurity and other services capabilities, including cross-sell opportunities.
* manage and collaborate with other resources on engagements to drive results, including engaging internal stakeholders from business development and client account management.
* end-to-end project management including planning, documentation, scheduling, finances, implementation and measurement.
* manage third-parties, internal and external stakeholders.
* serve as a trusted client business advisor and own senior client relationships from mid-level to c-suite.
* ensure flawless delivery of cybersecurity services projects and maintain high standards of quality in client relationships.
* identify, track and mitigate risks and issues identified throughout the delivery of initiatives.
* ensure completion of projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner in line with deadlines and required structures.
* contribute to evolving products supporting global, regional and local product strategy.
* build relationships with clients and key internal stakeholders as a cybersecurity subject matter expert and trusted engagement leader.
basic qualifications
* 12+ years of experience with cybersecurity advisory services in a consulting organization (senior manager or higher) with team management responsibility in cybersecurity projects.
* experience applying information security standards and best practices such as pci-dss, hipaa, iso27001, nist, cis, csa and hands-on experience executing and managing cybersecurity risk & controls assessments and/or audits.
* experience in assessing and building cybersecurity programs and solutions that balance protection and business needs.
* demonstrated experience with security technologies and processes such as awareness and training, cloud security, crisis and incident response, third party risk management, threat and vulnerability management, security in disruptive technologies (ai), cyber risk quantification, web application firewall, and identity protection.
* excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills and ability to structure analyses to deliver data-driven cybersecurity solutions.
* proven ability to build trust-based relationships with mid- and executive-level clients.
* ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed tactical execution to drive client impact and make quick decisions in challenging, ambiguous situations.
* industry savvy with an understanding of emerging cyber trends and market opportunities.
* experience in a matrix organization and effective stakeholder management.
* strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and work streams.
* ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multitasking and varying priorities.
* strong data analysis capabilities, translating cyber threat intelligence into actionable insights.
* excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex insights into compelling narratives.
* advanced proficiency in word, excel and powerpoint; english proficiency.
preferred qualifications
* ability to identify new business development opportunities and experience drafting proposals and scoping opportunities.
* experience with payment ecosystem security and security models across acquirers, processors, issuers and other sectors.
* experience designing and delivering large-scale cyber solutions and increasing customer engagement.
* desirable certifications: cism, cisa, crisc, cissp, ccsp, iso27001 lead auditor.
* mba or master’s degree with specialization in cybersecurity.
* spanish proficiency is desirable.
