Job title: hotel assistant director of finance
we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled assistant director of finance to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
this position reports to the director of finance and oversees all financial and accounting operations of the hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, auditing, and reconciliations.
the key requirements and activities for this position include:
* ensure adherence to financial objectives
* deliver financial reports in a timely manner and excellent quality
* ensure compliance with legal and regulatory statements
* generate monthly income statements, balance sheets, aging reports, and inventory reports
* coordinate and support the audit process
* responsible for proper supervision, training, and personnel administration reporting to position
* overview all taxes related to the property
* maintain and protect contracts, licenses, leases, and assuring compliance
* must be capable of maintaining good relations with departments within the hotel, corporate, and owners to promote effective internal control
* must have full knowledge about all accounting areas within the hotel, f&b cost control, and payroll
* ability to prepare annual performance evaluations to colleagues reporting to the position
* identify strengths and opportunity areas related to promotions or salary increases
* complete any other assigned task by finance manager or dof
requirements:
* bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
* minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel accounting, in a luxury or ultra-luxury property
* spanish speaker preferred
* english intermediate - advance
* strong knowledge in usali
* analytical skills
* experience with financial reconciliations
* critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* knowledge about opera, micros, hyperion, iscala systems
