in a nutshell
the associate, client marketing & dsp relations will aid in marketing initiatives and dsp streaming promotion opportunities for artists across latam genres. They will develop and implement a killer customized strategy to market each artist and will build and manage relationships with genre managers and curators at dsp partners, tailoring streaming strategies to maximize visibility for our artists.
what you will do
* maintain ongoing communications with symphonic’s latam business development lead and client marketing team members to optimally serve and showcase our clients.
* perform in-depth diagnostics for artists/projects/partners and provide guidance to optimize presence online and on relevant dsp platforms.
* establish and nurture relationships with key representatives at all appropriate dsps; develop strategies to expand reach and visibility of symphonic releases through partnerships and a growing understanding of the streaming landscape.
* collaborate with retail sales people, managers, labels, agents, publicists, app developers, advertising strategists, key influencers, and artists to implement bespoke music marketing strategies for both emerging and established artists’ new releases.
* identify, assess, and prioritize latam trends, opportunities and campaigns; maintain ongoing research and steer personal and corporate initiatives accordingly.
* analyze campaign effectiveness and allocate investment to high-roi opportunities.
* test new channels and partnerships to expand symphonic’s brand reach to new audiences.
* pursue and test new marketing opportunities as assigned.
* assist with client management and a&r duties as needed.
what you need to have
* high school diploma or ged
* at least 2 years of experience in a key marketing role at a record label, distributor, management company, or agency with the following achievements:
* a robust directory of dsp representatives
* a successful track record of developing and executing innovative audience-development marketing strategies
* a thorough understanding of the latam market and its genres
* ability to travel regularly (potentially 25% of the time)
* ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and industry periodicals, journals, or technical procedures
* ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
* ability to present information effectively to groups of executives, managers, direct reports, clients, customers, and the public
* working knowledge of microsoft excel, word and powerpoint
* strong spanish language skills and cultural understanding are a major plus
* bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is preferred

the small print
* you will create a remote office in miami, fl with access to hot desks at a local wework. You will be in proximity to latam dsp offices and will visit offices to forge relationships. You will work with a computer, desk phone, and monitor; the noise level is typically low, with occasional music sharing. Reasonable accommodations available upon request.
