**The team you will be a part of**
As a Commodity Buyer at Whirlpool, you will play a critical role in managing supplier relationships, executing commodity strategies, and ensuring cost competitiveness across assigned commodities.
Key responsibilities include leading supplier negotiations, managing contracts, supporting cross-functional teams during product launches, and driving cost and performance efficiencies.
You will also forecast material performance, perform data analysis, and execute sourcing initiatives while adhering to integral standards.
**This role in summary**
Ideal candidates will have a background in procurement, supply chain, or engineering.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
**Your responsibilities will include**
+ Develop and manage supplier relationships for assigned commodities.
+ Create and execute the Commodity Strategy for optimal performance.
+ Oversee total performance management, including quality, service, technology, delivery, and cost.
+ Identify and mitigate risks, including financial, compliance, and geopolitical.
+ Conduct market tests and negotiate prices to maintain cost competitiveness.
+ Lead or support contract negotiations, depending on the contract size.
+ Ensure timely, cost-effective, quality supplier selection and business awards.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless product launches and operations.
+ Forecast and analyze data for global cost management and efficiency.
+ Drive and execute critical sourcing projects, ensuring adherence to global standards
**Minimum requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 1 year experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or engineering
+ Advanced English
**Preferred skills and experiences**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain
+ Experience with strategic sourcing (negotiations, contract management, should costing, etc…)
+ Logistics & Supply Chain understanding
+ Organization and communication
+ Quickly build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliers
+ Analytical and problem solving
+ Team working
+ Multitasking and prioritizing activities with strict deadlines
+ Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
