Biologist
responsibilities:
1. prepare laboratory testing according to assigned work area using consistently good techniques based on validated methods established at microbiology laboratory.
2. conduct bioburden testing on finished products, water, and incoming materials; possess knowledge of organism identification tests using microscopes.
3. perform lal testing on finished products, water, and incoming materials.
4. carry out chemistry testing on incoming materials, solvents, and eo residuals.
5. perform environmental testing in manufacturing cleanroom areas.
6. understand medium preparation and reagents used in laboratory areas.
7. know the sterilization and depyrogenation processes.
8. be familiar with qualification and verification of biological indicator population counts and sample preparations.
9. understand cleaning practices and good laboratory practices.
10. review, prepare, and file records to comply with good documentation practices.
11. review all testing results and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
12. assist in special projects such as validations, studies, and qualifications as required.
qualifications:
1. bachelor's degree in biology or science; knowledge of standard laboratory methods and techniques.
2. preferred bilingual skills in spanish and english (at least 70%).
3. good interpersonal skills.
4. proactive attitude.
5. computer proficiency, especially in microsoft office programs.
