our reliability maintenance engineering (rme) team is central to amazon's commitment to innovation. As amazon evolves and adapts, this team ensures that the tools and technologies we use keep pace. As a senior rme technician, you'll help us stay one step ahead, adopting the latest technologies, identifying new efficient ways of working, focusing on process improvements and implementing upgrades to elevate our high standards.
key job responsibilities
* demonstrate best practice in using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure everyone follows the correct processes.
* track equipment performance through visual checks, condition‑based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks, scheduling additional servicing when required.
* supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as the first point of contact for reliability maintenance engineers.
* solve equipment issues to reduce downtime so that operations can process packages as quickly as possible.
* support continuous improvement and standardize processes across the brazil network.
a day in the life
in every shift, you’ll lead a team to ensure everyone has the equipment they need and that it’s running properly. This involves monitoring processes to confirm compliance with regulations and policies, and ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime. Based on your observations, you’ll suggest and implement improvements across a brazil‑wide function, using tools like scada to guarantee performance, and working closely with your line manager on administrative tasks.
work will take place at one of our operational sites and will involve shift patterns that may include weekends and nights. Experience in this role positions you for further senior roles.

basic qualifications
* microsoft office proficiency.
* high school diploma or equivalent.
* flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
* 1+ years experience in automated conveyor systems and controls, electrical and electronic principles, preventative maintenance procedures, blueprint and schematic reading, industrial electrical, industrial controls, industrial electronics, plc programming, nec compliance, and work order management.
preferred qualifications
* vendor management experience.
* experience with robotic maintenance.
* intermediate english (b2+).
* cmms experience for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
