Job descriptionamentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the us government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a lead technical control facility operator (lead tcf operator) to support a government contract based on the island of diego garcia.purpose / scopethe lead technical control facility (tcf) operator is responsible for ensuring circuits and systems will meet themanagement and performancethreshold contained in disa circular *.
the tcf is responsible for providing voice and data signals, satellite communications, communications security, and telecommunications to tenant commands.
the lead tcf operator will perform duties to ensure compliance with performance work statement (pws) and amentum iso * quality management system (qms).
tcf operations include but are not limited to: managing communicationsequipment, monitoring dataconnectivity, activating new circuitsand trunks, monitoring circuit andtrunk continuity, performing qualitycontrol checks, responding to emergent tasking's, monitoring hfcommunications, managing frequency databases, and kmi local elementaccounts.
the contractor tcf quality control(qc) plan shall be iaw global, usg, company, program and pws requirements and other directives.
maintain and record allqc activities that are scheduledand/or completed.
will perform other duties as assigned.the lead tcf operator will be available for on-call support as needed 24 hours/day, 7 days/week in this role.qualificationshigh school diploma or equivalentfive years general experience in communications.
within the last four years, two yearsspecialized experience directlyrelated to technical control facility operations.four years general experience having progressively responsibletechnical or craft experience in electronics, electricity, engineering,communication, physics, or in a similar field that provided technicalknowledge and background that could be applied in the testing,evaluation, installation, maintenance or repair of electronic systemsand equipment.
within the last three years, two years specialized experience in thetheoretical and practical knowledge of electronic theory and ofcharacteristics, functions, diagnosing, isolating and correctingmalfunctions and performing organizational level maintenance oncommunications and electronic equipment including, but not limitedto: an/gsc 52b; m/20 juniper; rt*; kiv-7m, and associated crypto equipment; fiber optic equipment, or twoyears specialized experience in operation and maintenance of theabove equipment at a military or commercial communications center.three years' experience in a supervisory role in an austere oconus environment with a multi-national workforceexperience / familiarity with operation, repair, maintenance of:security systems and monitorsantenna couplersmultiplex/de-multiplex equipmentline amplifiersfrequency standardshigh speed modemspower suppliesdata terminal setsalarmssignal convertersremote satcom monitorsvarious satellite, hf voice and datacommunication ancillary equipment and devices.must be familiar with current global, us, program and pws requirementsexcellent organizational and time management skillsability to obtain and maintain a us passport and driver's license throughout employment in this roleability to successfully pass pacom medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deploymentmust be able to obtain and maintain a secret us government clearance.
note: us citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearancework environment, physical demandsable to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve suppliesable to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 poundsliving and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortablemay work in a typical office environmentother responsibilitiessafety- amentum enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
