Mill sales manager

your main tasks and responsibilities include:
* secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility and other communication within assigned accounts.
* secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements within assigned accounts.
* follows up on quotations submitted to customers within assigned accounts.
* establishes professional relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, mill management, etc.).
* submits weekly activity/call reports concerning customer related activities for quotes, orders, and issues related to customer/vendor relationship.
* provides a territory sales forecast/budget for assigned accounts.
* provides competitor analysis within assigned accounts.
* assist in collection of accounts receivable.
* assist in data collection/distribution of marketing/sales/product launch/
* assist in distribution/collection of customer satisfaction survey.
* performs all other assigned duties within assigned accounts.
* travel is required for this job.
what you'll need:
* bachelor's degree (b.a.) from a four-year college or university, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* proven ability to define problems, gather and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* ability to interpret complex technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagram form, and to manage both abstract and concrete variables.
* valid driver's license is required.
* proficiency in pc usage and software applications.
* strong organizational skills.
* basic understanding of the papermaking process, as well as paper machinery design and manufacturing.
* desirable, knowledge of paper/board, pulp, tissue or related industries.
