*primary purpose*: design and implements processes that efficiently makes increase productivity in the warehouse and method to supply material to the production floor.
define the distribution of spaces, storage forms, movements, criteria to storage material, people required and other resources that are adequate to achieve the desired supply in the warehouse and production floor efficiently, quickly, and accurately.
*duties and responsibilities*:
- standardization of the warehouse operations. Implementing the model of storage material based on business needs and material type reduce time and movements.
- define the optimal material movements strategies to reduce risk, cost, and time for each transaction on the warehouse areas (receiving, incoming, put away, assortment, return material).
- responsible to create the system infrastructure to measure the warehouse productivity by person by shift by movement.
- work multidisciplinary groups to implement lean manufacturing on warehouse and production areas where the material is delivered, ensuring the highest productivity on their operations. Key here is to add technology and automatizations for this purpose.
- define automated process in warehouse and production to administer material like kan ban systems, robots to move high movement material, pick to light to mention some. Key here is making the process and technology works reducing human labor.
- document the define process adding them on the quality management system of the plant.
- ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
- actively support 5s, ehs, quality, and lean programs by following all approved practices and procedures, performing clean-up activities and identify/recommend improvements to management
*experience*:
- 5 - 8 years of experience.
- proven work experience in kaizen implementation. (ability to implement process improvement initiatives.)
- ability to use tools for problem solving (ishikawa, 5 whys, pdcas, kaizen methodology).
- hands on experience guiding multidisciplinary teams to implement automations.
- kaizen & sap knowledge desirable.
- knowledge on power bi and programing.
- leadership skills and ability manage staff.
- excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
- strong decision making and problem solving.
- experience on planning
*education*:
required: bachelor industrial engineer.
preferred engineering or business administration is a plus.
