We integrate our standard products into custom systems for various assembly functions to accommodate our customers in automotive, appliance, aerospace, medical, and other industries. Engineering coordinator – custom automation systems and press equipment located in arteaga, coahuila. Key responsibilities 1. Engineering leadership lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical and electrical (controls) engineers establish engineering standards, design best practices and documentation protocols drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies conduct performance evaluations, resource planning, and succession development maintain an appropriately staffed engineering team commensurate with workloads and goals for future growth 2. Project execution & delivery oversee full lifecycle of custom machine design: concept, design, build, validation, and commissioning ensure projects meet reasonable scope, schedule, budget, and performance requirements collaborate with project management to allocate resources and manage engineering workload identify and mitigate technical risks early in the design phase 3. Technical oversight review and approve mechanical designs (tooling, structures, motion systems) and electrical designs (schematics, controls architecture, safety systems) ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ansi, iso, nfpa 79, ul, ce as applicable) drive design for manufacturability (dfm), assembly (dfa), and serviceability support troubleshooting of complex technical issues during build and commissioning 4. Cross-functional collaboration partner with sales/applications engineering to develop technical concepts and cost estimates work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and supply chain to ensure efficient builds communicate with customers during design reviews, fat (factory acceptance testing), and issue resolution coordinate with field service team for installation and post-launch support 5. Innovation & continuous improvement identify re-occurring design requests that can be made modular or standardized for repeat use to reduce engineering cost for future projects stay abreast of new technologies that can help with the design and execution of custom machines lead lessons‑learned reviews and integrate feedback into future designs qualifications education bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related field master’s degree preferred (not required) fluent in english experience 8–12 years in machine design or industrial automation 3–5 years in engineering leadership or supervisory role experience in automotive and/or whitegoods manufacturing environments strongly preferred proven track record delivering custom automated systems technical competencies mechanical systems: tooling, pneumatics, servo motion, structural design electrical/controls: plcs (e.g., siemens, rockwell), hmis, safety circuits, industrial networks, reading schematics familiarity with cad platforms (e.g., creo, solidworks) and electrical design tools (e.g., eplan, autocad electrical) understanding of robotics integration and vision systems knowledge of press equipment and press processes (stamping, forming, piercing, clinching) knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, assembly, etc.) Key performance indicators (kpis) on-time engineering deliverables engineering budget adherence reduction in design errors and rework team utilization and productivity employee engagement and retention work environment combination of office (design/reviews) and shop floor (build/debug) occasional travel for customer visits, fats, and site commissioning preferred but not required experience some machining background sap employment: full time.
