Accounting & finance senior analyst job description
the accounting & finance senior analyst plays a critical role in executing accounting practices and procedures to produce timely and reliable financial information. This position is responsible for coordinating accounting services and integrating them with operating needs.
key responsibilities:
* manage billing and cross-charges across multiple intercompanies;
* owning accounting and reporting processes related to our month-end process;
* develop controls to ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies;
accountabilities:
* execute and coordinate accounting activities related to our monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including journal entries (je) postings, balance sheet account analysis and reconciliation;
* oversee services performed by shared service center (ssc) and internal stakeholders that have an impact on our accounting and financial records such as (interco a/r, fixed assets, other payroll liabilities and expense accruals, etc)
* owns and executes intercompany billing process for services performed by mbs with support from ssc, maintaining proper tax and legal documentation to comply with all local requirements (e.g., interco contracts, service taxonomy and catalogue);
* work and influence several stakeholders (tax, legal, financial reporting, internal control) to develop and monitor documentation and controls that ensure compliance with company policies and regulations (e.g. Service fee allocations, activities for mbs such as keeping control of intercompany service agreements, preparing tax service fee model expense distribution, etc);
* support control and reporting manager to develop activities to solve and improve current activities;
* responsible for capex requests mbs and fixed asset control, including disposals;
* works with internal control to develop processes to ensure compliance with local policies and regulations;
required skills and qualifications:
education:
* accounting, finance, economics, administration;
technical skills:
* accounting and financial reporting systems knowledge (hfm);
* ability to interact with technical accounting and control subject matter experts;
* general knowledge of tax laws;
* computer literate ms office intermediate to advanced, sap (strongly preferred) or any other erp (user);
language proficiency:
* english intermediate to advanced level required;
