about the role:
we are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven scrum master to join our team in a leading financial institution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and is passionate about fostering team success. The ideal candidate will work within a safe (scaled agile framework) environment, guiding teams to deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
key responsibilities:
act as a servant leader and coach for agile teams, ensuring adherence to safe principles and practices.
facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and leadership to foster trust and collaboration.
encourage and support team ownership of deliverables, ensuring accountability and alignment with business objectives.
serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating developer speak into actionable insights.
demonstrate curiosity and ask thoughtful technical questions to understand challenges and opportunities within the development process.
identify and remove impediments to ensure smooth team progress and delivery.
promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to reflect, adapt, and evolve.
collaborate with product owners to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
qualifications:
proven experience as a scrum master, preferably within a financial institution or similar industry.
strong understanding of safe principles and practices, with experience in scaling agile frameworks.
exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to foster trust and collaboration across diverse teams.
ability to take ownership and drive initiatives to completion.
familiarity with technical concepts and developer terminology, with a willingness to ask questions and learn.
excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
a proactive mindset with a focus on delivering value and achieving team success.
certification in safe or scrum (e.g., safe scrum master, certified scrummaster) is a plus.
