opportunity
supervising the general foundry and molds supervisors at plant iii, this position is responsible for providing engineering support to production areas, identifying and improving process or product opportunities. Additionally, developing and maintaining project engineering programs aligned with solid engineering practices, kos principles, and company policies to ensure smooth operations and meet production and cost objectives.
specific responsibilities
1. provide engineering assistance for daily production, quality control, problem-solving, cost reduction, and deadline adherence.
2. supervise production processes and suggest operational changes to ensure proper functioning and efficiency improvements.
3. support maintenance department in troubleshooting manufacturing processes, tools, and dies.
4. develop and maintain standards for complex operations.
5. assist in training staff and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
6. supervise and monitor plant metrics.
7. support the implementation of the kohler operating system (kos).
8. promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, and costs.
9. develop quality projects using lean manufacturing tools to reduce costs and improve results.
10. support teamwork to follow established methods post-project implementation.
11. comply with safety and health responsibilities as outlined for this role.
12. contribute to achieving production, quality, and safety objectives, identify improvements, and report unsafe conditions.
skills/requirements
qualifications
* degree in chemical engineering, materials engineering, or industrial engineering.
* 1-2 years of experience in the field.
* proficiency in english.
* proficiency in excel (formulas, pivot tables, databases).
