*description and requirements*:
*job description - production manager (server manufacturing plant)*

*position summary*
the production manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all manufacturing operations within the server production plant. This role ensures that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with the highest standards of quality, while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The production manager will lead a multidisciplinary team, optimize resources, and align operations with company objectives and customer requirements.

*key responsibilities*
- lead and manage daily production operations across assembly, testing, and packaging of servers.
- develop and implement production plans to achieve output, quality, and delivery targets.
- monitor key manufacturing kpis (tpy, fpy, cpb, oee) and drive corrective actions when performance deviates.
- ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
- collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and global operations to resolve issues and support new product introductions (npis).
- drive lean manufacturing, six sigma, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- manage workforce planning, shift scheduling, and labor allocation for operations without violating labor law constraints.
- lead, coach, and develop supervisors and line leaders to build a high-performance culture.
- ensure effective communication of production priorities, challenges, and achievements to local and global leadership teams.
- oversee maintenance of production equipment and infrastructure to guarantee operational continuity.

*qualifications*
- bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in electronics or high-tech industries.
- proven track record in leading production teams within a high-volume, complex manufacturing environment.
- strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- familiarity with server/electronics assembly processes is highly desirable.
- excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- strong communication and interpersonal abilities for managing cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- fluent in english (written and spoken); spanish or other languages is a plus.
