Responsibilities
* coordinate the production planning process, ensuring proper planning and the availability of information and stock for optimal coverage and execution of the short- and long-term production plan. This work is done in conjunction with the planners.
* coordinate the materials planning process, ensuring proper planning and the availability of information and stock for optimal coverage and execution of the short- and long-term production plan. This work is done in conjunction with the materials planner.
* coordinate the shipping planning process, including empty or packaging equipment, ensuring proper planning and the availability of information and stock for optimal coverage and execution of the short- and long-term production plan. This work is done in conjunction with the planners.
* monitor the availability of packaging materials, finished products, and raw materials, including their storage and availability, in conjunction with the planners and materials control and purchasing.
* monitor the availability of equipment and raw material transportation in conjunction with the materials planner.
* evaluate or suggest changes to product packaging standards, based on customer specifications.
* coordinate shipments with the planners to ensure they are accurate, complete, and on time, in the correct format, quantity, and with the proper documentation.
* ensure that the logistics system documentation is accurate and complete.
* ensure the implementation and use of sap/sep processes relevant to the logistics area.
* participate in the correct execution of materials control, physical material counts, and necessary adjustments for month-end closing.
* monitor the flow of direct and indirect materials to ensure compliance with planning and ultimately customer satisfaction, in conjunction with the materials planner.
* knowledge and use of supply on or a similar system or the corresponding asn system, according to customer specifications.
* coordinate communication (issuing meeting notices) with other departments, providing feedback and generating the necessary logistics inputs and outputs, primarily for production planning, to benefit logistics processes and customer satisfaction.
* coordinate communication with the client for the necessary feedback for logistics inputs and outputs, reinforcing the relationship and requirements with the client.
* coordinate and capture annual inventory, internal and external audits in support of the logistics manager.
* authorize logistics-related tasks for assigned personnel, such as purchase order authorizations according to the purchasing procedure or authorizations requested by other departments like finance.
* consult and upload information to customer portals such as supply on or similar platforms (for asn shipment notifications, invoices, record completion, labels, etc.).
* align with and execute actions according to objectives (kpis), production plans, and contingency plans to achieve customer satisfaction and adhere to company strategies and related requirements for audits.
* align with and implement actions and improvements according to objectives, kpis, and customer logistics point requirements and manuals.
