role overview

we are inviting applications for the role of s2 p indirect procurement assistant manager (professional services / top line categories) at genpact. The role focuses on end‑to‑end sourcing projects related to general services such as it, marketing, professional services, software, and more.


responsibilities

* procure goods and services, obtain quotations, develop proposals and negotiate contracts of low to moderate value/risk in line with client requirements.
* manage rfp/rfx/rfq processes and ensure they are executed via formal erp/procurement tool‑based sourcing.
* understand and use e‑auction, upstream and downstream sourcing processes (s2p and p2p).
* manage proactive engagement activities for operational planned spend opportunities.
* perform transactional buying desk activities and support wider category management, including raising purchase orders.
* analyze quotations, recommend suitable suppliers, and evaluate reliability to meet operational requirements and client procurement policy.
* negotiate with suppliers on commercial and non‑commercial clauses, obtain approval from client category manager on finalized projects, and support drafting of contracts.
* record savings in the client savings database, engage with operational teams, review pipelines, and track savings opportunities.
* collaborate with category managers and business units to deliver procurement requirements, strategic benefits, and compliance with existing contracts.
* effectively manage internal and external customers and stakeholders; assume additional responsibilities such as analysis and reporting.
* develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance, and pursue continuous improvement.
* act as the sole point of contact for business requestors on sourcing projects under direct management.
* utilize data analytics, reporting, and dashboard tools such as excel (pivot tables, macros) or tableau/power bi.


qualifications

* minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in professional services and/or top‑line categories.
* proven record in strategic sourcing projects (proactive approach).
* strong understanding of spend analysis, rfx creation, and negotiation skills.
* experience in indirect and tactical buying, with operational sourcing experience.
* hands‑on experience with coupa (preferred) / ariba or similar procurement/crm systems.
* proficiency in microsoft office (excel, powerpoint, word).
* green belt/black belt or a certified lean professional is preferred.
* any sourcing or project‑management certification/course is a plus.
* us sourcing experience is preferred.
* minimum bachelor’s degree in any stream; a tech qualification is preferred.
* excellent written and verbal communication in english.
