we have created a new leadership role, channel marketing director, to drive our go-to-market strategy across our partner ecosystem, from silicon to public cloud, involving channel and hardware manufacturers. As the publisher of ubuntu and a key provider of open source solutions globally, we support partners in various innovative value chains including public cloud, cybersecurity, ai, and iot.
reporting to the vp of marketing, you will lead a team of marketing managers managing partner programs. Your focus will be on collaborating closely with partners to position canonical as their trusted partner for open source-based products and solutions. You will be responsible for maximizing roi of campaigns supporting partner initiatives, whether sell-to, sell-through, or sell-with.
the partner marketing team comprises skilled professionals adept at formulating joint value propositions and executing lead generation campaigns. They excel in creating compelling messages and selecting effective channels within complex supply chains. They are passionate about technology, enterprise users, and leverage advanced partner analytics tools.
location: this role is home-based in the amer region.
the role entails:
1. building a marketing strategy to drive pipeline growth and revenue through key partners such as silicon, ihv, odm, channel, and gsis.
2. aligning with growth, field, and product marketing to deliver integrated activities.
3. executing partner campaigns from recruitment to demand generation.
4. engaging the partner community with high-quality content, collaborating with communication, product, and alliances teams.
5. enhancing partner impact through programmatic approaches.
6. creating bespoke plans and joint value propositions to differentiate in the marketplace.
7. championing partner collaboration internally and externally.
8. managing marketing development funds (mdf) usage.
9. implementing advanced analytics and reporting to improve roi.
10. mentoring and developing a diverse team of partner marketers.
11. cultivating a culture of testing and optimization.
what we are looking for in you:
* deep understanding of the technology ecosystem including silicon, ihv, isv, odm/oems, cloud providers, and channels.
* leadership experience in aligning diverse partners around gtm strategies.
* proven success in co-marketing programs within the tech industry.
* experience with reporting on complex partner marketing activities.
* ability to foster a culture of excellence, agility, and self-drive.
* curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.
* outstanding english communication skills, verbal and written.
* exceptional academic achievements at high school and university levels.
* willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
additional preferred experience:
* familiarity with specific verticals such as telco, finance, industrial, or automotive.
* experience leading distributed teams across time zones.
