Role purpose
financial accounting is responsible of accounting operation, leading teams to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting books closing and reporting information on month, quarter, and annual basis, preparing, and monitoring financial statements ensuring adherence to ifrs and local gaap standards, monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports as well as coordinate internal and external audit process.
main activities
* custodian of accounting and financial compliance for the legal entity.
* oversee the entity’s financial reporting process for group consolidation.
* collaborate with coos and finance partners during month-end to resolve material variances affecting financial reporting accuracy.
* prepare legal entity-level group reporting deliverables in saracen and gather systems.
* coordinate and lead statutory, regulatory, and tax(support) audit engagements.
* reconcile of key gl accounts and oversight of full reconciliation process together with gl owners.
* oversight of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
* ensure compliance of accounting books with ifrs, and local gaap standards as applicable.
* coordinate audit process and be a liaison with external auditors, and other functional areas to ensure clean and on time audit opinions.
* preparing and support with financial information for transfer pricing study and tax related compliance.
* prepare accurate and complete journal entries in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies into the erp or accounting system.
* work closely with the accounts receivable to follow up on unbilled and outstanding recoveries and assist in resolving disputes related to recoverable expenses with customers or affiliates.
knowledges and experience
* bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
* accounting degree and relevant professional qualification.
* minimum of 5 to 8 years of accounting experience.
* strong knowledge of accounting software and standard accounting principles.
* meticulous approach to work to ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
