we are seeking a product engineer to join our team, reporting to the engineer manager. The role involves preparing technical drawings and plans.
about the job:
* create drawings based on pro-e models or markups of existing drawings.
* develop symbols and artwork for transfer stamps and laser etching.
* generate customer drawings, catalog line art, and 3d models as requested by sales.
* organize and lead the internal pro-e users group.
* revise part and assembly models under the guidance of product and design engineers.
* support drafting and design personnel in various locations.
* assist with product and cost improvement projects.
* develop and print overlays for part inspection.
* manage transfer and control of pro-e work with our cmz drafting, npd personnel, and north american contract designers.
* participate in the windchill/pdm link implementation project team.
* establish and document corporate drafting standards.
* provide drafting and technical support for the cep npd group.
* create 2-d customer drawings and 3-d models for customer use.
* prepare artwork proofs for switch symbols for customer approval.
* chair in-house pro-e user group meetings.
* coordinate efforts to migrate documentation from 2-d (graphite) to 3-d solid model-driven (pro-e).
* perform other duties as assigned by the product engineering manager.

about you:
* associate degree in engineering/cad or equivalent work experience (2+ years).
* proficiency in autocad.
* experience with pro e.
* working knowledge of excel, word, powerpoint, and illustrator.
* experience with 2d and 3d drafting.
* detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
