Fixed assets sr supervisor this role is withinchamberlain group's finance group.
a successful incumbent isexpected to (i) maintain all fixed asset record keeping, (ii)provide timely reporting by applying accounting principles,techniques, and enforcing company policies, and (iii) provideguidance to cost center owners regarding purchase orders andinvoices related to asset go-live.
(iv) perform closing processesand tasks by ensuring all balances are accurate and properlyreconciled to underlying data, and (v) approve month-end journalentries and accruals.requires 6+ years' experience in relatedaccounting finance and a minimum of a bachelor's degree in businesswith major in accounting or equivalent experience.
- supervise themaintenance of all fixed asset record keeping and reporting,including data entry, physical auditing, tagging assets,reconciliations and report preparation - provide accurate andtimely fixed asset financial information by applying accountingprinciples and techniques and enforcing company policies - provideguidance and expertise to cost center owners regarding purchaseorder status, expected timing of invoices, and asset go-live dates- own fixed asset subledger and ensure that fixed assets areproperly maintained in sap - manage the direct tagging of newlypurchased assets while working with other departments to ensureassets are properly identified - partner with finance leadershipregarding budgeted capital purchase requests - oversee and leadmonth end fixed asset closing tasks and serve as escalation pointfor fixed asset close activities - review and approve fixed assetand construction-in-progress reconciliations on a monthly basis;assist in clearing all reconciling items in a timely fashion - findand implement tools to provide efficiencies within the team,including improved month end reporting and capital purchaserequisition enhancements - lead and supervise special financialactivities, fixed asset audits or other projects as directed -conduct ad-hoc analyses and create relevant presentation materialsas needed.
