Job summary
we are looking for a skilled gcp support engineer with hands‑on experience in apigee api management. The role involves managing api proxies, troubleshooting issues, ensuring security compliance, and optimizing performance within a gcp environment.
key responsibilities
* configure and update api proxy paths and authorization settings.
* troubleshoot api proxy issues and resolve errors in api responses.
* monitor and renew ssl certificates before expiry.
* ensure zero downtime and prevent global api failures.
* api latency & performance audits
* differentiate between apigee policy failures and backend issues.
* traffic quota & spike arrest tuning
* implement and adjust rate‑limiting policies.
* protect backend systems from sudden traffic spikes.
required skills
* strong experience in google cloud platform (gcp)
* hands‑on experience with apigee api management
* knowledge of api security, proxies, and policies
* experience in troubleshooting api failures and latency issues
* understanding of load balancers and ssl certificate management
* familiarity with rate limiting, quota, and spike arrest policies
preferred skills
* experience with monitoring tools and logging (stackdriver/cloud logging)
* knowledge of microservices architecture
* basic understanding of networking and backend integrations
