Mechanical design engineer (junior) location: san luis potosí, mexico (on-site) we are seeking a junior mechanical design engineer to join our engineering team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience who are eager to develop their technical skills and grow within a dynamic engineering environment. Key responsibilities support the design and development of mechanical components and systems. Apply engineering fundamentals to analyze forces, stresses, and system behavior. Develop and review basic cad models and drawings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and problem-solving activities. Interpret engineering drawings and ensure compliance with design requirements. Basic requirements bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering, or related field. 0–2 years of experience in mechanical design or related areas. Intermediate english level (written and spoken). Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach challenges conceptually before using cad tools. High level of curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Technical skills solid understanding of mechanics of materials, including stress (tension, compression, shear) and deformation analysis. Knowledge of statics and dynamics, including force vectors, moments, rigid body equilibrium, acceleration, and inertial forces. Basic understanding of gd&t (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) and engineering drawing interpretation. Familiarity with cad tools such as solidworks, catia, or nx (academic experience is acceptable).
