At r2, we believe that small and medium businesses are the productive engine of society. Small and medium businesses (smbs) make up over 90% of companies in latin america, yet they face a trillion-dollar credit gap. Our mission is to unlock smbs' potential by providing financial solutions that are tailored to their needs. We are reimagining the financial infrastructure of latin america - where smbs financial needs are satisfied without ever having to go to a bank.
r2 enables platforms in latin america to embed financial services that smbs can then leverage (starting with revenue-based financing). We are a tight knit team coming from organizations such as amazon, google, nubank, uber, mckinsey & co., mercado libre, globant, and j.p. Morgan. We are backed by world-class investors such as gradient ventures (google's ai-focused fund), general catalyst, y combinator, femsa ventures, payu, among others.
r2 is looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial individual who is passionate about solving latin america's credit gap through embedded lending partnerships with the region's leading technology platforms. The *account executive* will take partners from demo to closing, drive r2's hypergrowth and will be a critical member of the sales team.*what you'll work on*:
- run end-to-end sales process for potential partnerships, including demo, proposal, and contract
- accompany partners during integration process until launching a partnership with r2
- keep sales pipeline up to date
- update crm with updates on current deals
- coordinate with internal r2 teams (data, risk, engineering, finance) to understand potential in each partnership and develop economic proposals
- receive internal buy-in and prepare r2's teams to onboard new partners
- gather feedback from potential partners and present it to product team
- develop a thorough understanding of how our product, platform and integration works
- build r2's partnerships & sales culture
*who you are*:
- track-record of top performance in enterprise sales role
- experience at a fintech company
- experience selling to tech companies and closing large deals ($1m+ contract values)
- ability to communicate internally with engineering teams as well as with partners' engineering teams
- ability to operate in a fast-paced, startup environment
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- driven for solving the credit gap for small & medium businesses in latam
- based in mexico city
*bonus points*:
- experience working at a payments company or closely with payments companies
- experience at a high growth startup is preferred
- prior experience working with b2b2c o b2b2b products is a plus
