Softtek, an it consulting firm, is seeking an it network supervisor.
the it infrastructure safety supervisor is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and enforcement of environmental, health, and safety (ehs) standards during all it infrastructure related activities on site. This role ensures that it vendors, contractors, and project personnel comply with applicable safety regulations, company ehs policies, and local occupational safety requirements, with the objective of maintaining a zero-incident work environment.
the position plays a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, mitigating unsafe acts and conditions, and supporting it and construction teams in all ehs-related matters across it infrastructure deployments, including network, server rooms, cabling, power, and equipment installation activities.
activities:
* ensure full compliance with company ehs policies, osha standards, and local safety regulations for all it infrastructure activities on site.
* supervise and monitor it-related construction and infrastructure activities to prevent accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
* verify that all it vendors, contractors, and project personnel have completed required ehs training, inductions, and site safety orientations.
* enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (ppe) and safety equipment at all times.
* support access control processes for it contractors, including ehs induction, credentialing, and site authorization.
* coordinate and manage contractor safety documentation, including healthcare insurance registrations and compliance records where applicable.
* identify, report, and proactively mitigate unsafe acts, near misses, and hazardous conditions related to it infrastructure work.
* participate in safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations related to it infrastructure activities.
* act as a safety advisor and point of contact for it project teams, vendors, and construction partners on ehs matters.
* promote and reinforce a safety-first culture aligned with company values and project execution standards.
