The client is a U.S.-based design and manufacturing company specializing in innovative, sustainable, and high-quality solutions.
The role will drive operational excellence and scalable growth in Mexico and will own the end-to-end supply chain in the region.
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Director will serve as the single owner of the end-to-end supply chain in Mexico — planning, sourcing, manufacturing, and delivering.
This leader must ensure on-time delivery at the best total cost, while guaranteeing compliance with IMMEX, trade, and fiscal regulations.
The role requires a hybrid profile: an operator who can solve daily challenges and a builder who institutionalizes long-term processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Supply Chain functions: planning, procurement, sourcing, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, fiscal & customs compliance.
- Manage the flow of raw materials and finished goods aligned with demand and production programs.
- Implement and optimize ERP/MRP and PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Arena, Agile).
- Negotiate with suppliers on cost, terms, dual sourcing, VMI/consignment, and performance scorecards.
- Ensure full compliance with IMMEX, SAT, and U.S./Mexico regulatory requirements.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives, working capital optimization, and inventory improvements.
- Establish and monitor KPIs: OTIF, inventory turns, supplier performance, cost savings.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of ~25 professionals.
- Build a strong S&OP; process and standardize best practices across the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of supply chain leadership, ideally in IMMEX manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record in ERP/MRP and PLM implementations.
- Strong knowledge of MRPII, JIT, Kanban, and DFT.
- Expertise in international trade, customs, and compliance.
- Advanced negotiation and vendor development skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in complex, growing organizations.
- Fully bilingual English/Spanish.
- Strong problem-solving (RCCA, 8D, Lean), analytical thinking, and stakeholder influence skills.
- High-visibility role directly impacting profitability and expansion.

Education & Language
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business/Engineering/Supply Chain management or equivalent practical experience required.
ENGLISH LEVEL: Advanced – Strong reading and writing skills enabling fluent project presentations and participation in negotiation processes.

- Experiencia en manejo de inventarios, ventas y plan de requerimientos de materiales (MRP) en el mercado nacional y exportación, conocimiento de modelos de pronósticos, control de piso (SFC), plan maestro de producción (MPS), políticas de inventario de materia prima y producto terminado para su revisión y aplicación acorde a la empresa.
