the baker hughes internship is designed to enable students pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.

you’ll participate in focused training, team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects, developing your learning and skillset.

the internship duration is from 6 to 12 months, starting january 2025 through july or december 2025.
as an intern, you will be responsible for:
* collaborating in the evaluation and assessment of potential suppliers and vendors to ensure they meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
* supporting the management of relationships with existing suppliers, including communication, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.
* assisting in managing inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of critical materials while minimizing excess inventory costs.
* supporting the creation, processing, and tracking of purchase orders for materials and services.
* applying health, safety, and environment (hse) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained.

to be successful in this role you will:
* be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, technology, mechanics, or other stem-related or business programs.
* have maintained a gpa of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
* be fluent in oral and written english with effective communication skills.
* be able to relocate for the duration of the internship (locations vary).
* be legally entitled to work in the country where you are applying without sponsorship or restrictions.
