job summary:
this position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the fulfillment centers at the mexico subsidiary aligned with the company's objectives and its financial, quality, safety, and loss prevention policies. It is responsible for the receiving, unloading, handling, storing, replenishment, picking, checking, invoicing and loading of goods in order to attend customer´s sales orders or transfer of goods to another distribution center in compliance with the requirements of safety, quality, safety and lp&r standards and government audits. This role is directly responsible for managing the relationship and partnership with the 3pls operating the warehouses and the internal employees at our export warehouse. Likewise, this position is responsible for implementing systems and plans by analyzing data to improve work execution, distributing tasks, developing operational and performance reports, leading projects and continuous improvement initiatives for the warehouse operation. Handling the financial budget, negotiating with other commercial areas, and implementing policies and rules. Finally, this position ensures mexico network has the capacity of the operation needed and develops strategies that allow us to support the growth of operations and maintain the delivery of customer orders on time.
principal duties and responsibilities:
* maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring that each warehouse operates efficiently with the right service level, has the right staffing requirements, storage requirements, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for safety, quality, productivity and compliance with the legal regulations.
* ensure logistic cost in the warehouse operations remains aligned with the budget as well as monitor payment process according to the contract terms signed with service providers;
* oversee daily operations and address the day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
* manage the cp people operation at the export mh warehouse and the 3pl's logistic service providers by meeting on a monthly basis with them to review productivity and develop actionable plans to maximize efficiency, minimize costs and meet the service objectives
* strengthen collaboration with other functions such as customer collaboration, transportation, demand planning and order to invoice in order to secure loading plan from each warehouse are meeting the expectations of customers
* build the budget spent for the year, considering fix and variable cost, including maintenance spend control, capital investments for special and regular projects, annual salary reviews, etc
* support the strategy of funding the growth (ftg), reimagine and moonshot projects, ensuring their implementation in order to support the business objectives
* support the negotiation and contract management with 3pl logistics providers.
* accountable for the integrity of the business processes related to finished goods inventory, replenishment and new product introductions (donations and slobs like reconditioning, obsoletes, scrap process, etc)
* monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics in order to identify, develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction or implement corrective / preventive actions of the areas of opportunity.
education, experience, & skill requirements:
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, logistics, or business administration
* at least 5 years of experience managing warehousing processes and/or 3pl management
* at least 3 years of managerial experience
* bilingual spanish - english (excellent level)
preferred qualifications include:
* work experience in multinational cpg companies
* work experience in logistics operations
* advanced ms office / google toolkit
* experience using sap / ewm / lms /wms
* warehouse knowledge and experience in automation processes
* project management skills
* distribution network design expertise
