Location: 100% Remote (LATAM candidates welcome)
Type of Contract: Contractor (no legal benefits)
About the Role
At Orion Innovation, we are seeking a talented Agent OS Engineer to help build the next generation of intelligent systems. You will be part of the engineering team responsible for designing and implementing the core infrastructure that powers agent-based applications — creating the "operating system" that orchestrates autonomous agents to solve complex, real-world problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop the Agent Operating System (Agent OS) to enable multi-agent coordination, task planning, and execution.
- Implement services such as memory, perception, scheduling, and environment modeling.
- Build APIs and abstractions that allow developers to define and deploy agents in dynamic environments.
- Integrate with LLMs, vector stores, toolchains, and APIs to empower reasoning and automation capabilities.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance across distributed systems.
- Collaborate with AI research and infrastructure teams to optimize real-world use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in systems-level or distributed development.
- Strong coding experience with Python, Rust, or Go.
- Familiarity with LangChain, CrewAI, Autogen, ReAct, or LangGraph frameworks.
- Knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, and AI orchestration.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Nice to Have
- Contributions to open-source agentic frameworks.
- Understanding of multi-agent architecture patterns such as Supervisor/Judge models.
- Experience in observability, knowledge graphs, or memory systems.
