Associate Procurement Project Leader – Sustaining (Unfilled)
Copeland is seeking a motivated Procurement Professional eager to grow their career in a dynamic and innovative environment. Based at our Chihuahua, Chihuahua location, this position is a key member of our Business Unit Procurement team. The Associate Procurement Project Leader – Sustaining will support commodity managers through supplier research, data analysis, contract administration, and coordination of RFPs and RFQs. This role also involves leading sustaining procurement projects aligned with business unit goals and maintaining accurate sourcing documentation in collaboration with internal teams. This position reports directly to Procurement Leadership and works closely with Copeland’s Enterprise Procurement and Business Group Supply Chain teams, ensuring alignment and execution of category strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate sustaining procurement projects, including cost-saving initiatives and supply chain optimization efforts.
Schedule and facilitate cross-functional meetings to manage project updates and align stakeholders.
Monitor project milestones and proactively expedite activities to meet timeline and cost objectives.
Maintain accurate, timely reporting on project and program statuses throughout their lifecycle.
Support the execution of procurement strategies and apply best practices in commodity management.
Required Education, Experience, And Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in tactical sourcing, procurement, or a related field.
Comprehensive understanding of the purchase order lifecycle, cost/price analysis, and logistics processes.
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and resolve operational challenges.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Proven experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% as required.
Must be preferably located in Chihuahua, Chihuahua
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience with tracking systems and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, Word, Access, JDE and PowerPoint.
Mexico: Fluency in English and proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is required

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week.
