career path
you'll begin as a broker fmt supporting day-to-day operations while receiving mentorship directly from leadership and the carrier sales team. Once trained, you'll transition into a carrier sales role focused on building and managing your own carrier book of business.
key responsibilities (track and trace assistant phase)
* track and trace shipments across the u.s. in real time
* update load statuses and communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and customers
* maintain carrier compliance records and operational data
* support trailer and asset management
* assist with rate confirmations and load coordination
* participate in freight sourcing and carrier communication training
key responsibilities (carrier sales phase)
* build and manage relationships with owner-operators and small fleets
* book and manage freight across dry van and reefer lanes
* negotiate rates, ensure carrier compliance, and maintain consistent communication
* onboard and activate dedicated carriers into gh's network
* contribute to coverage, recovery, and same-day truck sourcing
ideal candidate
* 1–3 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, freight brokerage, or transportation tracking
* strong english communication skills (spoken and written)
* fast learner with ambition to move into sales
* organized, proactive, and goal-driven
* can work on u.s. hours (cst) and thrive in a performance-oriented environment
* minimum typing speed of 45+ wpm
* bilingual in english/spanish a plus, but not required
schedule
full-time | monday - friday 7 am - 5 pm central time (san antonio texas)
requirements
* reliable internet and remote work setup with at least 2 monitors
* zoom presence and hubstaff tracking required
