Position: fractional controller with technological acumen
location: remote (mexico and colombia)
working hours: full-time, between 6:00–18:00 central / eastern time
role summary:
we are seeking a dynamic and innovative fractional controller to join our expanding team. This role requires an accounting professional who is adept at leveraging technology to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and provide insightful financial management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting background, a passion for technology, and the ability to manage client relations effectively.
key responsibilities:
- manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting by the 5th day of the following month.
- collaborate with junior staff to optimize accounting workflows using technological solutions.
- engage with clients to provide comprehensive financial management and advisory services.
- stay informed on the latest technological advancements and their applications in finance.
- drive the adoption of ai and automation tools to enhance accounting efficiency.
- mentor and guide junior staff in leveraging technology for financial processes.
requirements:
- at least 5-7 years in accounting with a proven track record in financial management.
- enthusiasm for technology and a proactive approach to learning and implementing new tools.
- excellent client management skills with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
- ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- ability to adapt to changing needs and take ownership of projects.
nice to haves:
- experience in cpg or saas industries.
- exposure to ai and automation in financial processes.
- a background in finance in addition to accounting.
- experience in fintech or similar sectors is preferred.
