Sr hse supervisor
the hse&f position is responsible for leading and sustaining initiatives focused on health, safety, and environment within the organization.
the role involves using knowledge and experience to cultivate a positive culture around environmental, health, and safety practices, ensuring compliance, resolving challenges, and defining and executing objectives for oneself and others.
this position is tasked with implementing all ehs services at the worksite, participating in local audits, developing plans and programs, and ensuring full compliance with stps & ssa regulations.
it leads a medical team to analyze, design, and implement the structure and initiatives of environmental and health services, fully aligned with both corporate and local guidelines.
it also ensures adherence to all preventative protocols required by law.
key responsibilities
implement a safety, health, and environmental management system aligned with corporate initiatives and regulatory requirements, continuously enhancing hse performance and safeguarding employee well-being
lead compliance efforts related to operational permits
analyze and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance within the worksite
conduct risk assessments across all hse areas to validate program effectiveness and ensure compliance
ensure employees fully understand and adhere to all safety regulations
investigate workplace incidents, verify contributing factors, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned to leadership teams
promote safety in the workplace and support the development, maintenance, and management of health, safety, and environmental programs, including proactive prevention of incidents and occupational illness, respiratory protection, contractor safety, and hazardous substance management
build a strong culture of environmental, health, and safety awareness among employees and contractors
evaluate practices, procedures, and site conditions to assess legal compliance and risk levels
deliver training and presentations on health, safety, and accident prevention
recommend solutions, improvements, or new preventive measures
report on awareness, concerns, and health/safety statistics
monitor and communicate performance indicators related to accidents, incidents, risks, and other relevant topics to validate adherence to procedures and processes
you must have
education: degree in administration, engineering, or related field
recommended: training and certifications in occupational health and safety
experience: minimum 5 years in hse-related roles with team leadership
language: advanced english proficiency (conversational level)
strong understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
skilled in drafting reports and developing relevant policies
proficient in data analysis and risk evaluation
capable of responding calmly and effectively during emergencies
