principal consultant – location: mexico – zapopan. This full‑time role involves designing, developing, and implementing new technologies for a variety of projects in a fast‑paced environment.
responsibilities
* share knowledge by effectively documenting work
* respond quickly and effectively to production issues and ensure resolution
* resolve database performance, capacity, replication, and other distributed data issues
* install and maintain database software
* manage backup and recovery of databases using rman and/or network appliance snapshots
* maintain database security and corporate data protection
* develop database procedures, triggers, and sql scripts for development teams
* assist in defining and implementing database standards
* review scripts submitted by the development team to ensure compliance with standards
* monitor databases for errors and perform problem determination when necessary
* design and implement highly available production systems using hot standby/data guard, oracle goldengate, advanced queuing, real application cluster (rac) and oracle enterprise manager
* participate in on‑call rotations
qualifications
* bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
* excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication and collaboration skills
* ability to work independently and as part of a team
* experience developing ansible playbooks
* experience with high‑volume websites using multi‑tier architectures
* hands‑on experience in oracle database technologies
* prior experience writing pl/sql triggers and/or procedures
* experience with database sql and tuning
* experience with oracle goldengate
* experience supporting database infrastructure in the cloud (oci, aws, azure)
* working knowledge of linux and shell scripting
* experience configuring database network connectivity
* knowledge of database backup and recovery techniques using rman and network appliance filers
* experience with oracle real application clusters and implementation best practices
* ability to analyze existing systems and recommend technology for high availability, disaster recovery or high performance
* experience setting up and managing oem 13c
