we are looking for a senior sap fico analyst to serve as a functional expert and design authority for financial accounting (fi) and controlling (co) solutions. This is a high-visibility role critical to maintaining complex financial operations and preparing for future s/4hana transformations.
the role
as a senior functional lead, your key responsibilities include:
* subject matter expertise: act as the sme for general ledger (gl), accounts payable (ap), accounts receivable (ar), asset accounting (aa), and cost centers (copa).
* advanced troubleshooting: independently resolve complex fi posting issues, account determination errors, and intercompany imbalances.
* hands-on configuration: maintain sap ecc configuration for company codes, fiscal year variants, and allocation cycles.
* technical bridge: draft functional specification documents (fsds) and collaborate with abap developers to design custom enhancements.
* integration support: solve complex integration issues impacting sd-fi, mm-fi, and external interfaces.
* experience: 7-10+ years of solid sap fico experience.
* technical depth: strong hands-on experience with sap ecc configuration and end-to-end troubleshooting.
* documentation: proven track record of drafting high-quality functional specification documents (fsds).
* independence: ability to work as a 'super user' and lead work across multiple priorities.
* experience with sap s/4hana (support, implementation, or migration).
* experience in large, complex enterprise environments and intercompany accounting.
* location: 100% remote (candidates may be based anywhere in latam).
* time zone: must align with est (9:00 am - 6:00 pm).
* contract type: full-time, indefinite/ongoing.
