Account manager – latam will lead strategic commercial relationships with licensed partners across latin america. This role serves as the primary business lead between the brand and its license partners, ensuring strong alignment across brand strategy, retail execution, and long-term market growth.
the role requires a strong commercial mindset, deep knowledge of apparel retail, and experience working within licensing, franchise, or joint-venture business models. The successful candidate will drive performance across retail, wholesale and digital channels while ensuring brand standards and strategic priorities are consistently executed across markets.
key responsibilities
· lead the commercial relationship with assigned license partners across latin america.
· develop and execute strategic business plans that drive sales growth, profitability, and brand expansion across multiple channels.
· collaborate with licensee leadership teams to ensure the resources, capabilities, and operational plans are in place to achieve business objectives.
· conduct regular business reviews and performance analyses to identify opportunities, risks, and required actions.
· own annual forecasting and long‑range planning in partnership with finance and planning teams.
· identify opportunities to expand retail distribution including stores, e-commerce, and marketplace channels.
· monitor and analyze financial performance including sales, margin, and operational metrics to drive improved results.
· lead cross‑functional collaboration across merchandising, marketing, planning, supply chain, and finance teams to support business objectives.
· identify operational and commercial barriers and work with partners to implement solutions that improve performance.
· ensure alignment with global go‑to‑market calendars, seasonal strategies, and open‑to‑buy decisions.
· support the development of long‑term growth initiatives including store expansion, digital commerce, and new channel opportunities.
· monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights across latin american markets.
· ensure licensee compliance with brand standards, processes, and operational guidelines.
· support contract discussions including renewals, amendments, and key commercial terms when required.
· represent regional insights internally and influence strategic decision-making.
qualifications
· bachelor’s degree required; mba or advanced degree is a plus.
· 6–10 years of experience in apparel or fashion retail with exposure to international markets.
· experience working with license, franchise, or joint‑venture partnerships preferred.
· strong knowledge of latin american retail markets and consumer landscape.
· proven ability to drive commercial growth and build strategic business partnerships.
· strong financial and analytical skills, including understanding of retail p&l performance.
· excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
· ability to influence cross‑functional teams in a highly matrixed global organization.
· collaborative, analytical, and comfortable working in complex multi‑market environments while maintaining strong focus on brand integrity and long‑term growth.
· willingness to travel internationally on a frequent basis.
· ability to work across multiple time zones when required.
· fluency in english and spanish required.
